Sexy Briefs Author Interview – Nan Allen

Today I am beginning a series of interviews with the authors featured in the Sexy Briefs collections. First up (in no particular order), Nan Allen. Nan’s story Fulfillment appears in Sexy Briefs: Knickers in a Twist. Sexy Briefs: Tasty Little Tails and Sexy Briefs: Knickers in a Twist are available FREE on Smashwords.

Nan Allen has been writing erotic stories since she was a teenager, though back in those days it was based on what she’d read rather than experience. Nan knew then that sex and erotic writing were going to be important parts of her life. She currently has eight erotic eBooks available as PDFs or the Kindle and Nook.

“Erotic writing just … well, it turns me on. It doesn’t matter for whom or what I’m writing. If it is about someone getting it on then I’m interested. People say they enjoy the erotic stories I write because they’re so realistic. I contribute this to most of my stories being based off things I’ve actually done or my real fantasies,” said Nan.

Who are you and why are you here?

My name is Nan Allen and I’m here because I write porn.

Plug your book(s) in three sentences or less:

A collection of stories from authors around the world who connected on Google+ and thought it would be fun to create a free eBook for our readers. My eight other eBooks are collections of short stories I’ve written over the last 10 years.

Tell us about your Sexy Briefs story. Which collection does it appear in?

My story is a new tale called Fulfillment and is in Knickers in a Twist. Nan wants to help fulfill one of Chris’ fantasies and knocks him out with a sleeping pill to set it up. When he wakes up they have an amazingly fun time with blow jobs, oral sex and anal sex.

What genre(s) do you write in? Why did you choose it?

I write erotica, though I prefer to call it porn. I fell in love with it when I was 12 and over the years I’ve come to love it more and more.

Do you use a pen name? Why/why not? How did you choose it?

Yes, I use a pen name. I write for kids and newspapers as well and I need to keep them well separated. It is a combination of a shortening of my first name and my maiden name.

Most writers are ‘different’ from the rest of the world in some way. What makes you different/odd/weird?

I see things from odd perspectives and am a serious perv.

Where do you get your ideas? What motivates you?

I get my ideas from conversations, TV and online surfing.

What do you like on your pizza?

Ham and pineapple or baked ziti.

What is your favorite guilty pleasure?

Sleeping to 10 a.m. every day when I’m not working.

What do you wear to bed?

A cotton nightgown and nothing else.

What is your ideal vacation?

Hanging out with the beluga whales in Mystic, CT.

What’s the weirdest search term that led to your blog?

I don’t pay attention to the stats.

And now for some either/or questions: Bath or shower?

Shower for day to day, and Jacuzzi for relaxing and napping.

Mayo or Miracle Whip?

Mayo always. Though I grew up on Miracle Whip.

Cat person or dog person?

Both, and rabbit and turtle.

Chocolate or vanilla?

Chocolate

The book or the movie?

Depends on the book/movie.

Floss or brush?

Brush then floss.

Phone call or email?

Email, it is just so much more effective.

Bonus question: What is the airspeed velocity of a coconut-laden swallow?

African or European?

About ameliajamesauthor

When I was in the third grade, my teacher wrote ‘tends to daydream’ on my report card. What did she expect from a girl raised on fairy tales? I’m convinced those fanciful stories led to the romance novel addiction I acquired in junior high. My mom caught me reading a particularly hot one and took it away from me. She couldn’t stop me from daydreaming though, and after I got married, I wrote some of my steamier daydreams down and sent them to Playgirl magazine. Two of them were published. I kept writing and eventually my short stories became romance novels. I live in Colorado now, but I’ll always be a loyal Wisconsin Cheesehead. When I’m not lusting after my next bad boy hero, I’m looking for inspiration in sci-fi and action movies, football players, morally ambiguous lawyers, muscle cars, and kick-butt chicks. Characters—the ever-present voices in my head—bring my books to life. They’re my imaginary friends. We all need to get away from reality for a little while. I prefer to escape with a sizzly, sexy, forever romance.
